Jurassic World Rebirth Has a Sequence From Michael Crichton’s First Jurassic Park Novel That Didn’t Make It Into the Original Movie — and Fans Have Ideas for What It Could Be

Jurassic World Dominion incorporates a scene from Michael Crichton's original Jurassic Park novel that was omitted from Steven Spielberg's 1993 film adaptation, screenwriter David Koepp has confirmed. In an interview with Variety, Koepp, who penned the screenplay for the original Jurassic Park and returned to write this year's Jurassic World Dominion, explained that he revisited Crichton's novel to prepare for the sequel, lacking a source novel for this installment. This rereading led to the inclusion of a previously unused sequence. Koepp stated, "There was a sequence from the first novel that we’d always wanted in the original movie, but didn’t have room for. We were like, ‘Hey, we get to use that now.’" While Koepp refrained from specifying the scene, fan speculation has already begun, focusing on several potential candidates.
