Honkai Star Rail 3.2 to Introduce Changes to Banner System for More Player Freedom

Honkai: Star Rail's gacha system is getting a major overhaul, giving players more control over their character pulls. Leaks suggest version 3.2 will introduce a customizable pity system for limited banners, a significant change to how players interact with the game's gacha mechanics.

According to leaks from Sakura Haven, the 3.2 update lets players personalize their 50/50 pity pool. Instead of the standard pool of 7 characters, players will choose their preferred characters from a larger selection. These chosen characters will partially or fully replace the default pool, offering increased agency over rewards.

Currently, the 50/50 pity pool includes 7 standard characters. Version 3.2 replaces this with a customizable "Group." Players select 7 characters from this Group to form their personalized 50/50 pity pool. Losing a 50/50 roll will then reward a character from this customized pool, not the standard lineup.

The initial "Group" will include the 7 standard characters plus a selection of additional characters. This customizable pity system directly addresses a common gacha frustration: the randomness of losing pity rolls. Players can now prioritize characters that fit their playstyle or preferences.

While details on the selectable characters remain unclear—it's unknown if past limited characters, current banner units, or new additions will be included—the potential impact is significant. This change reflects HoYoverse's commitment to improving player experience and could set a new standard for gacha game design.

The announcement has generated considerable excitement. Players eagerly await the launch of Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 to experience this enhanced gameplay.
