"Guide to Winning the A Prize Held High in Monster Hunter Wilds"
In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, there's a world of activities beyond just hunting the colossal beasts. If you're aiming to snag the A Prize Held High trophy or achievement, here's a detailed guide on how to do just that.
How To Unlock the A Prize Held High Trophy/Achievement in Monster Hunter Wilds
Contrary to what the trophy description might suggest, your target isn't a dragon or wyvern but the elusive Curioshell Crab. To capture this creature, you'll need to use the Capture Net.
Finding the Curioshell Crab can be tricky since it's scattered across various maps. However, we've found the Scarlet Forest to be the most reliable location. Start from the base camp and head towards Area 6, known as the Flowering Rocks pop-up camp. If you haven't discovered this site yet, it lies between Areas 2 and 6.

Once you reach the Flowering Rocks, check the nearby puddle of water. This is a prime spawning spot for the Curioshell Crab. If it's not immediately visible, Alma can help you out. She'll mention if the creature is carrying something, signaling that a Curioshell Crab is nearby.
Equip your Capture Net, aim carefully until the reticle turns orange, and then fire to capture the crab. A successful capture will reward you with both a Curioshell Crab and an Ancient Wyvern Coin.
Keep in mind that the Curioshell Crab is fast, so you'll need to anticipate its movements and aim ahead of its path. Other spots where you might find it include Area 13 of the Windward Plains or Area 8 of the Scarlet Forest. While it can appear elsewhere on the maps, these are the most reliable locations we've tested so far.
That's all you need to know to unlock the A Prize Held High trophy or achievement in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. For more tips and tricks, be sure to check out The Escapist.
