New Game+ mode in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be free

The holiday break is behind us, so let's dive back into some exciting gaming news! While we're all eagerly anticipating updates on the Nintendo Switch 2, today's focus is on a different fan favorite: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled new gameplay footage, showcasing the Hawaiian pirate adventure and revealing some key details.

The showcased gameplay highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and diverse explorable locations. Goro Majima, a series staple, will boast two distinct combat styles: a swift, agile approach and a more brutal style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can assemble a unique crew of allies, each contributing to battles, exploration, and treasure hunts. The game promises a wealth of hidden islands and original side quests to uncover.

A significant announcement concluded the presentation: the "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch. This is a welcome change from the previous title, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where this feature was exclusive to the premium edition, drawing considerable criticism towards SEGA. This positive development means we only need to wait approximately six weeks for the official release.
