This season welcomes several formidable foes: Lagombi, Volvidon, Somnacanth, and the fearsome Tigrex make their debut. Returning favorites like Barioth, Wulg, and Cortos also appear. Tigrex will feature prominently in Hunt-a-thons and might even surprise you in regular hunts. Unlock these powerful creatures by completing urgent quests throughout Season 4's story chapters. Finish the prologue to gain access to the snowy tundra.

A powerful new weapon joins the arsenal: the Switch Axe. This versatile weapon seamlessly transitions between Axe Mode for powerful sweeping attacks and Sword Mode for ferocious close-quarters combat. Unlock the Switch Gauge by completing the pre-season story in Chapter 2.

Customize your very own Palico companion! These helpful allies assist in gathering materials and scouting monsters. Personalize their fur, facial features, and name to your heart's content. AR functionality lets you bring your Palico into the real world for memorable photos.

Season 4 also introduces Friend Cheering. Boost your friends' health temporarily by sending them a cheer – a great way to add a cooperative element to your hunts. Note that there's a limit to the health boost you can receive from cheers.
