Elden Ring Nightreign Test: Sign-Ups Open Tomorrow

Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test: Sign-Ups Open January 10th

The highly anticipated Elden Ring Nightreign network test begins accepting registrations on January 10th, 2025. This initial beta, scheduled for February 2025, will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

Announced at The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign is a cooperative Soulsborne experience set in The Lands Between, designed for three-player parties. While targeting a full release in 2025, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco are conducting this limited network test to ensure a smooth multiplayer launch.

Registration Details:

The beta will have a limited number of participants. Registration opens January 10th via the official Elden Ring Nightreign website. Successful applicants will receive confirmation emails no later than February 2025. Specific test dates will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Platform Limitations:

A key limitation is the exclusion of PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC players from this initial test. This means only approximately half of the target platforms will be included. Furthermore, FromSoftware has confirmed no cross-platform play will be available, restricting online interaction to players on the same console. Progress made during the beta will likely not carry over to the final game. The possibility of future betas encompassing other platforms remains open.

Gameplay Restrictions:

In addition to platform restrictions, Elden Ring Nightreign will only support solo play and three-player parties. FromSoftware has opted against balancing for two-player groups. Whether the network test will include any further gameplay limitations remains to be seen.

In short: Register early for the Elden Ring Nightreign network test on January 10th, but be aware of the platform and party size restrictions.
