Disco Elysium Mobile Debuts as Visual Novel
ZA/UM, creator of the award-winning Disco Elysium, has revealed plans for an Android mobile adaptation of the game.
Breaking from the original isometric RPG format, this mobile version will reimagine the experience as a visual novel. Players will encounter richly illustrated scenes, branching storylines, and fully voiced conversations while exploring Revachol.
The development team stated this adaptation aims to "bring Disco Elysium to wider audiences while offering existing fans a fresh way to experience the game on mobile." Tõnis Haavel, ZA/UM's creative director, emphasized strategic outreach to TikTok audiences:
"We plan to captivate TikTok users with bite-sized video content featuring powerful storytelling, breathtaking artwork, and immersive audio. This project represents our vision for next-generation interactive entertainment.
Story-driven masterpieces like Disco Elysium belong on mobile devices. By preserving the original's spirit while optimizing for phones, we're giving both newcomers and veterans a chance to fall in love with this world all over again—right in their pockets."
The studio will announce specific launch window details in future updates.
