Delta Force Now Available for Pre-Order on Mobile

Delta Force, previously known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, is now accepting pre-registrations for iOS and Android devices. This relaunch by Level Infinite, a Tencent subsidiary, marks a significant entry into the modern military shooter market, slated for a late January 2025 release. The game promises a blend of missions and modes, emphasizing tactical gameplay.

For those unfamiliar, the Delta Force franchise holds a prominent place in FPS history, predating even Call of Duty. Inspired by the US military's elite special forces unit, the series has always focused on realistic weaponry, gadgets, and action.

Tencent's revival features Warfare mode (large-scale combat akin to Battlefield) and Operations mode (extraction-based gameplay). A single-player campaign, heavily inspired by the film Black Hawk Down and the Battle of Mogadishu, is also planned for 2025.

Addressing Cheating Concerns

Despite high anticipation, Delta Force has faced controversy regarding its anti-cheat measures. Tencent's aggressive approach, employing G.T.I. Security, has drawn criticism for its perceived overreach with PC restrictions. While the impact on the mobile version remains to be seen, this controversy might deter some potential players. However, the inherent limitations of cheating on mobile platforms could mitigate these concerns.
