Dead Cells Update Delay: Release Now Set for Early 2023
The final two free updates for Dead Cells mobile, "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near," have been delayed until February 18th, 2025, developer Playdigious announced. These updates, already released on PC and console, introduce significant new content.
"Clean Cut" boasts two fresh weapons: the utility-focused Sewing Scissors and the brutally effective Giant Comb. A new NPC, the Tailor's Daughter, allows players to customize their character's appearance.
"The End is Near" brings a trio of challenging new enemies: the Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer. Players will also find new skills and colorless mutations, including Demonic Strength, a powerful mutation that boosts damage based on curse stacks.
Playdigious' commitment to providing extensive free content for Dead Cells is commendable. While the end of free updates allows the studio to pursue other projects, the substantial additions in these final releases justify the wait.
Both updates will launch simultaneously on February 18th, 2025, for Android and iOS devices. New players are encouraged to consult a Dead Cells weapon tier list before embarking on their challenging journey.
