Crusader Kings III Expands with Mongols and Asian Horizons
Paradox Interactive has unveiled an exciting lineup of content for Crusader Kings III, set to roll out across 2025 as part of Chapter IV. This chapter focuses heavily on Asian expansion, introducing innovative mechanics and uncharted territories for players to discover.
Leading the charge is the newly released cosmetic DLC, "Crowns of the World." This compact but stylish addition offers six distinctive crowns, four new hairstyles, and two bearded options, providing players with additional ways to customize their rulers.
On April 28, the highly anticipated first major DLC, "Khans of the Steppe," will launch, enabling players to assume control of the Mongols. As the Great Khan, you'll guide a nomadic horde, expanding your dominion across lands and asserting supremacy over neighboring territories.
Following closely behind is "Coronations," scheduled for release in Q3 (July–September). This DLC introduces a ceremonial system centered around legitimizing your rule through elaborate coronation events. These occasions feature lavish celebrations, solemn pledges, and pivotal decisions shaping your kingdom's future. Additionally, new advisor and vassal events will enrich political dynamics.
Wrapping up the chapter is "All Under Heaven," a monumental expansion due later this year. It boasts a comprehensive East Asian map, meticulously detailing China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian archipelago, offering players expansive new realms to conquer and explore.
In the interim, Paradox will roll out patches to fine-tune game mechanics and AI behaviors. The development team remains committed to gathering player feedback, with the next Q&A session scheduled for March 26.
