Boss battles, Mechagodzilla and Kong: details on the Fortnite and Monsterverse collaboration

The highly anticipated Godzilla skin, slated for release in Fortnite on January 17th, has had its details prematurely revealed via online leaks. Epic Games recently deployed an update containing the game files for this collaboration with the Monsterverse. Dataminers have already unearthed the specifics.

Beyond the standard Godzilla skin obtainable through the battle pass, players can acquire a bundle featuring Mechagodzilla and Kong from the in-game store. This bundle will include unique jetpacks and pickaxes designed to complement both skins.

A new boss event will launch concurrently on January 17th. One player will transform into a gigantic Godzilla, wielding abilities like atomic breath. Players must cooperate to defeat the colossal creature. The player inflicting the most damage will earn a medallion granting a unique ability.

The Mechagodzilla and Kong bundle will be available at the usual time in the Fortnite item shop, priced as follows:

• Mechagodzilla: 1800 V-bucks
• Two Pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
• One Emote: 400 V-bucks
