Blending Pinocchio and Bloodborne, 'Lies of P' Reveals DLC and Sequel Plans
Lies of P: DLC and Sequel Announced! A Year of Success and What's Next
Director Ji-Won Choi recently penned a heartfelt message to fans of Lies of P, celebrating the game's first anniversary and teasing upcoming content. The message, a blend of gratitude and anticipation, reveals exciting news for players.
More Strings for P's Puppets:
The letter highlighted the team's dedication, working through Korea's summer heat to develop the upcoming DLC. Choi emphasized the importance of fan feedback, promising the DLC will build upon the base game's strengths while addressing previous issues. He stated the goal is to "do better on what we did well and improve in areas we have room to grow." The message also expressed gratitude to the development teams, Team NOUGH and ROUND8 Studio.
The most significant reveal? Choi shared concept art depicting P in a snowy location, gazing at a lighthouse, hinting at a new, potentially dangerous, storyline. Additionally, a piece of music from the DLC's soundtrack was shared. While labeled "new," the track, "Lisrim," was originally composed in 2022 by onoken; however, NEOWIZ owns the rights to both the original and the new arrangement. A music video showcasing a clockwork-weapon wielding character rescuing a girl further complements the atmosphere.
DLC Release Date and Beyond:
While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 Earnings Results indicate a launch sometime in the second half of 2024. This release will coincide with other NEOWIZ titles: The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy, Cats & Soup: Malang Town, Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe, and Project IG.
Last November, an eight-minute video showcased early concept art featuring an industrial facility and a shipwreck, offering further glimpses into the DLC's setting.
Choi concluded by assuring fans that the DLC is only the beginning, with a full sequel also in development. Patience is key, but the future of Lies of P looks bright.
