Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7 Reveals Sinister "Dark Urge" Ending
Baldur's Gate 3's upcoming Patch 7 introduces terrifying new evil endings, offering players a chilling glimpse into the consequences of embracing darkness.
A New Evil Ending: A Father's Legacy
Larian Studios recently unveiled a 52-second cinematic teaser on Twitter (X), showcasing one such ending centered on the Dark Urge. This preview depicts the grim fate of the Dark Urge's companions, highlighting the sinister control Bhaal exerts.
Spoiler Alert!
The Dark Urge, succumbing to their father's influence, takes control of the Netherbrain. The teaser shows the companions' horrifying demise as they are forced into a fatal plunge. A chilling narration underscores the scene: "Time for the final act. Your tragedy has become mankind's." The Dark Urge ultimately meets a similar fate.
This is only one of several new evil endings planned for Patch 7. Larian previously promised improved evil endings, allowing for even darker conclusions, even for players not playing as the Dark Urge. Past teases included the Dark Urge amidst a sea of blood and corpses, and a town consumed by "sheer mindless bliss" under the True Absolute.
What Else Awaits in Patch 7?
Patch 7 is a substantial update, including:
- New evil endings (as detailed above).

Larian Studios has confirmed that this isn't the end for Baldur's Gate 3. Future plans include crossplay and photo mode, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing improvements based on community feedback.
