Despite five hours of live-streamed casting announcements, there are still several characters and actors that fans expected to see in Avengers: Doomsday who are notably absent from the confirmed lineup.
We already knew that some key figures, such as Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch and Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, wouldn’t be returning, but the following exclusions stand out—especially considering the film’s cosmic scope and its positioning as a cinematic crossover event bringing together the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four.
