FortiToken Mobile

FortiToken Mobile is an advanced One Time Password (OTP) generator app designed for MultiFactor Authentication on your mobile device. As an OATH-compliant application, it supports both event-based and time-based OTPs, making it a versatile tool for enhancing your security measures. It serves as the client component in Fortinet's comprehensive, user-friendly, and cost-effective solution that meets stringent authentication requirements. To validate your OTPs, you'll need to pair FortiToken Mobile with FortiOS, FortiAuthenticator, or FortiToken Cloud.

Privacy and Control

Your privacy is paramount with FortiToken Mobile. The app cannot alter your phone's settings, capture images or videos, record or transmit audio, or access your emails. It also does not have visibility into your browsing history. FortiToken Mobile only requires your permission to send notifications or make any changes to settings. Additionally, the app does not have the capability to remotely wipe your device. The only information it needs to access is your OS version to ensure compatibility with the app's version. During the manual installation of FortiToken tokens, 3rd Party tokens, and Token Transfer, you may need to enter sensitive details such as your email address or token seeds.

While FortiToken Mobile requires your explicit permission to change any settings, it does utilize certain permissions for its operations:

• Camera Access: To scan QR codes, facilitating easy token activation.
• TouchID/FaceID: For securing the app using biometric authentication.
• Internet Access: Necessary for token activation and receiving push notifications.
• "Send Feedback by Email": To automatically fill in the "Sender" field when you send feedback.
• File Sharing: To prepare attachments for the "Send Feedback by Email" feature.
• Keep Device Awake: To prevent data corruption during internal database upgrades.
