Thousand (1000) - Schnapsen

A well-known card game for three players using a 24-card deck.

Current game agreements include:

- Players need 880 points to declare a barrel

- Points are cleared after three unsuccessful barrel attempts

- A bolt is given when a player scores zero points in a round

- Three bolts result in a 120-point penalty

- Surrendering players face a full statement penalty, while the other two players each receive half that amount

Available game settings:

- Victory requires exceeding 1000 points

- Points reset when reaching exactly 555 or -555 points

- Barrel declaration on one's turn without bidding

- New deal when talon or hand points fall below threshold

- Ace marriage scoring

- Golden round option

- Collaborative barrel play scenarios

Barrel declaration on "own turn":

Players with 880 points may declare barrel when having first bidding priority.

This automatically wins the bidding and grants talon rights regardless of opponents' card strength.

Failed attempts incur 120-point penalties and count toward the three-strike reset rule.

Barrel declarations without bidding priority proceed normally but award no points or attempt penalties.

Multiple players meeting barrel requirements are prioritized by turn order.
