Rummy 500 (also called Persian Rummy, Pinochle Rummy, or 500 Rum) is a classic card game similar to standard Rummy but unique—players can pick up multiple cards from the discard pile.

Under standard Rummy 500 rules, players earn points for melded cards and lose points for unmatched "deadwood" cards remaining in hand when someone declares victory.

Game Rules:

• Designed for 2-4 players

• Played with one deck including jokers

• Each player receives 7 cards

• Win by becoming the first to reach 500 points

• Even if multiple players hit the target, only the highest scorer wins

• Create sets (3-4 cards of the same rank) or sequences (3+ same-suit cards in order)—these determine your score

• Turns involve drawing a card and discarding

• Optional moves: lay down melds or add to existing ones ("building")

• Jokers act as wild cards in sets/sequences

• May collect discard pile cards—must use the last taken card

• Discard pile cards must immediately form melds

• Face cards = 10 points; Ace = 11/15 penalty; Joker = substituted card value +15 penalty

• Multi-round gameplay with cumulative scoring

• Victory awarded upon reaching/exceeding 500 points

• Tiebreaker playoff determines final winner
