PainterSVG

A free application for creating and editing Scalable Vector Graphics.

SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is the W3C standard for vector-based imagery. Unlike bitmap images composed of a fixed grid of pixels, vector graphics are defined by mathematical shapes and their properties. The standout advantage of SVG is its scalability—enlarging the image never results in loss of detail or clarity.

PainterSVG is a dedicated editor for SVG images, offering the following capabilities:

- Create and edit shapes such as lines, circles, rectangles, and more

- Create and edit paths, with support for straight, cubic, and quadratic lines—easily drag control points and stops to adjust the path

- Intuitive controls for defining stroke and fill properties for all shapes and paths

- Apply solid colors, linear gradients, or radial gradients as fill for any shape

- Simple selection, drag-to-move, resizing, and rotation of elements

- Easy zoom in and out functionality

- Group or ungroup elements with ease

- Read from and write to external SVG files

- Export to PNG (with transparent background) or JPG (with white background)
