Xbox Hit Headed to Switch 2, PlayStation 5

Rumors suggest that Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 are slated for release on PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025. This follows Microsoft's February 2024 initiative to expand its first-party titles to other platforms, with games like Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Grounded, and Sea of Thieves already released on non-Xbox consoles. As Dusk Falls and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 also fall under this umbrella, along with the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in Spring 2025 for PS5.

Industry insider NateTheHate reported hearing about the Halo: Master Chief Collection ports to PS5 and Switch 2, anticipating a 2025 launch. He also indicated a similar fate for Microsoft Flight Simulator, likely referring to the recently released MFS 2024.

This multi-platform expansion is further supported by leaker Jez Corden, who tweeted that significantly more Xbox games will be released on PS5 and Switch 2 in 2025, suggesting an end to the era of Xbox console exclusivity. The ten-year agreement to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo consoles, announced in late 2022, further solidifies this trend, with a Switch 2 release anticipated due to its expected enhanced capabilities.
