New Xbox Game Pass Game Confirmed for January 21

Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup Bolstered by Day One Titles

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers are in for a treat in January 2025, with a strong second half of the month featuring several day-one game releases. While the first half saw a relatively quiet rollout, the latter half more than makes up for it.

Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, a co-op and PvP skiing game, leads the charge, launching on January 21st as a day-one title exclusively for Ultimate subscribers. This follows a trend of day-one releases being initially limited to the Ultimate tier.

The January 2025 Game Pass additions also include:

• Road 96: January 7th
• Diablo: January 14th (PC Game Pass)
• EA Sports UFC 3: January 14th (Ultimate Tier)
• Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders: January 21st (Ultimate Tier)
• Eternal Strands: January 28th (Ultimate Tier)
• Sniper Elite: Resistance: January 30th (Ultimate Tier)
• Citizen Sleeper 2: January 31st (Ultimate Tier)

Beyond Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, Eternal Strands, an action-adventure game with a distinct Zelda feel, stands out. Developed by Yellow Brick Games, led by BioWare veteran Mike Laidlaw, it promises a compelling experience.

The second half of January also includes Sniper Elite: Resistance and Citizen Sleeper 2, both launching as day-one titles. All these games will be available at no extra cost to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.

February 2025's lineup remains largely unannounced, although Avowed is confirmed for an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate release on February 18th. Until then, Ultimate subscribers can enjoy the exciting array of day-one games arriving in the latter half of January.
