Microsoft has confirmed three games for the showcase. One is South of Midnight, a stylish action-adventure game from Compulsion Games (creators of Contrast and We Happy Few). Announced in June 2023, a release date may finally be revealed. Another confirmed title is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a turn-based RPG from Sandfall Interactive, targeting a 2025 release and confirmed as a day-one Xbox Game Pass title. Lastly, id Software's Doom: The Dark Ages, announced in June 2024 and playable at QuakeCon 2024, is also slated to appear; a mid-2025 launch is rumored.
These three titles aren't the only expected announcements. Previous Developer Directs (lasting over 40 minutes each) showcased multiple games. The 2024 event featured Avowed, Ara: History Untold, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, and Visions of Mana. Similarly, the 2025 event may hold further surprises.
