Unlocking the Secrets of the Lion's Crest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

This guide details how to initiate and complete the bonus quest, "The Lion's Crest," available to players who pre-ordered Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This quest rewards players with valuable items.

Starting the Lion's Crest Quest:

Once you've finished the tutorial and gained access to the open world, locate the scribe Gaibl in Troskowitz. He will provide you with a riddle and the smithing recipe for Brunswick's polearm. Gather the necessary materials and craft the weapon at the blacksmith's forge.

Solving the Riddle:

The riddle, which reads:

"Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned for treasure lays. Between then stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armour gleaming still."

leads you on a treasure hunt. Exit Trosky Castle through the northern gates and head north, entering the forest.

Follow the path, noting rocky formations on the left. You'll discover a cave containing a chapel. Examine the cross near the rock to find the first piece of Brunswick's armor and two treasure maps.

Locating the Armor Pieces (Using the Maps):

• Map 1: Continue west along the road to a crossroads. Head north into the woods to a wolf den. The armor piece is in a bag near the trees above the den.

• Map 2: Travel to the Vidlak Pond outpost. Behind the fisherman's house, find a large rock formation along the cliffs. A chest containing the armor is near a cross on the rocks.

• Map 3: Fast travel to Zhelejov. Leave the tavern and cross two bridges towards Tachov. Take a small path leading to the river and forest. On a hill, examine a large tree to find bones and a bag containing the armor.

• Map 4: Travel to the hill between the Nomads’ Camp and Bozhena’s Hut. Find rocks with a cross; the final armor piece is nearby.
