Superman Unlimited Brings Marvel Mainstay Dan Slott Back to DC Comics
DC Comics announces Superman Unlimited, a new monthly series debuting in May 2025, featuring Marvel veteran Dan Slott. Slott, renowned for his work on titles like The Amazing Spider-Man and Fantastic Four, returns to DC after a two-decade Marvel exclusivity.
Superman Unlimited pairs Slott with artist Rafael Albuquerque and colorist Marcelo Maiolo.

Slott states, "He’s the greatest superhero, and I’ve waited my whole life to tell his stories. Rafael and I will take him—and you—to incredible places each month. Millions of ideas for Superman, Lois, allies, classic villains, and new foes await. Whether you're a lifelong fan or a newcomer, this is the perfect entry point."
The series introduces a perilous new reality. A Kryptonite asteroid shower empowers enemies like Intergang with Kryptonite-based weapons. Superman must develop new technology and tactics to counter this threat. Simultaneously, Clark Kent faces a transformed Daily Planet, now a global multimedia giant after merging with Morgan Edge's Galaxy Communications.
DC group editor Paul Kaminski compares the series to Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness's Superman/Batman, stating it will deliver classic Superman adventures while introducing a massive Kryptonite deposit. He envisions a world where even petty criminals wield Kryptonite weapons, creating unprecedented danger for Superman and his allies. This contrasts with Justice League Unlimited's focus on unlimited heroes. Kaminski highlights the series' surprises and Albuquerque's stunning artwork, promising an unforgettable 2025 for Superman fans.

A 10-page prelude appears in DC All In 2025 FCBD Special Edition #1 (May 3, 2025), followed by Superman Unlimited #1 (May 21, 2025), preceding James Gunn's Superman film (July 11, 2025).
