Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Gets Final Major Content Update

Summary

Rocksteady Studios has released the final major content update, Season 4 Episode 8, for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, this update concludes the game's live service. While servers will remain online, no further content will be developed after the January 14th patch.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, launched in February 2024 to mixed reception, will cease receiving updates after less than a year. The decision, announced December 9th, 2024, attributed the game's short lifespan to its live-service model. Despite the end of development, Rocksteady confirmed that all online features will remain accessible.

Following a brief period of server downtime, Season 4 Episode 8: Balance is now live. This update introduces a Libra-themed Infamy Set, powerful new Notorious weapons, and a final Mayhem mission against Brainiac. It also includes numerous bug fixes and gameplay improvements, such as reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels.

December's Season 4 Episode 7 update introduced offline play, allowing players to access all previously released content—main campaign and seasonal missions—without an internet connection. While Rocksteady hasn't announced a server shutdown, this offline mode ensures continued accessibility even if servers are eventually taken offline.

For players who haven't yet experienced the game, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is currently available on PlayStation Plus until February 3rd, alongside The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Patch Notes for Season 4 Episode 8 Update

MEDIEVAL GENIUS

Explore expanded medieval Elseworld content in Episode 8: Balance, featuring new locations and twists on familiar areas. Conquer The Quarry, a fortified citadel, and engage in battles within The Arena, inspired by the statues of King Jor-El and Queen Lara Lor-Van.

LIBRA INFAMY SET

This new Infamy Set, inspired by the DC Super-Villain Libra, applies stacks of Scales of Libra to enemies, increasing both their damage dealt and received by 50% per stack. This high-risk, high-reward set encourages aggressive gameplay.

NOTORIOUS WEAPONS

  • The Silencer’s Complete Silence: Deals 200% bonus damage to enemies affected by Scales of Libra. Its Alt-Fire deals 1000% bonus damage and creates a Silencer Zone, reducing enemy damage by 100%.
  • Doctor Sivana’s Magic Bullets: Piercing bullets apply Scales of Libra and have a chance to electrify enemies.
  • Chronos’ Equilibrium: Deals 25% bonus damage for each 1% of missing shield, rewarding aggressive play.

GAMEPLAY CHANGES

  • Reduced the duration of Deathstroke’s Suicide Strike against certain enemies.
  • Decreased XP requirements for Squad Levels; retroactive rewards are granted.

BUG FIXES

  • Resolved a LuthorCoin expiration bug in Japan.
  • Fixed issues with the Raising Hell Playlist, bonus XP, B-Technology Resources, Killing Time Leaderboards, and Episode 7 Mayhem Mission counters.
  • Addressed bugs affecting Lootinauts, Green Lantern Constructs, Harley Quinn’s traversal ability, Captain Boomerang’s TFX Pack, Joker Emotes, Gorilla Grodd’s Infamy Set, Orphan’s Heartseeker, Brain’s Teaser, navigation in Medieval Elseworld, and various crashes, UI, SFX, gameplay, animation, cinematic, audio, and environmental issues. Numerous incorrect or untranslated text strings have also been corrected, along with instances of incorrect enemy spawning.

KNOWN ISSUES

Incorrect tracking of Riddler challenge progress when attempting challenges from a different Episode than the currently selected one. Exiting to the main menu resolves this.
