Stalker 2 Side Quest: Uncover Secrets

In Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, players can embark on a side quest titled "For Science!" This quest unfolds through interactions with various NPCs within The Zone. The quest begins with a rendezvous between Skif and Yaryk Mongoose at the Central Elevator in the Chemical Plant.

Initiating "For Science!":

To start, locate Yaryk Mongoose in the Central Elevator area. Upon approaching, Mongoose will contact Skif via radio, requesting a meeting. Proceed to the first floor, bypassing conveyor belts and climbing rusted stairs. Vault the railing to access Mongoose's location and initiate the conversation. He'll explain the need to activate a second measuring device atop a silo, triggering the "For Science!" quest.

Reaching the Silo:

Exit the room and ascend to the building's roof. Deal with any rodent encounters. Climb through a broken window and descend via an external ladder to the silo walkways. Equip a bolt-action weapon to counter electro anomalies along the path to the second measuring device. Activate the device.

The Bloodsucker Encounter:

Activating the device will attract Bloodsuckers. Players can choose to eliminate them or evade them to return to Yaryk Mongoose.

Confrontation and Reward:

Upon returning to Mongoose, he'll explain the experiment's unforeseen consequences. Players can choose to kill Mongoose or accept his explanation and reward. Either choice has no significant impact on the game's progression. The reward is the Malachite pass, granting access to the STC Malachite facility (unless already accessible via main missions). Choosing the non-hostile option provides both the pass and additional coupons.
