New Need For Speed won't come out in the nearest future

EA's Vince Zampella, Executive Vice President, recently provided an update on the Need for Speed franchise. With over two years having passed since the release of NFS Unbound, EA remains quiet on the series' future.
This silence is due to Criterion Games' current commitment to developing the next Battlefield title. Zampella emphasized that this Battlefield installment is EA's top priority, incorporating substantial player feedback. Four studios are collaborating on the project, reflecting EA's significant investment.
Zampella's previous statements highlight a commitment to avoiding the missteps of Battlefield 2042, which faced considerable criticism upon release. This player-centric approach also extends to future NFS Unbound content.
It's highly probable that EA will refocus on Need for Speed only after the launch and initial post-release support for the new Battlefield concludes. This delay may prove beneficial; recent NFS entries haven't resonated strongly with fans. A player-driven reboot, allowing time for past disappointments to fade and nostalgia to build, could be a strategic advantage.
In short, expect no imminent Need for Speed announcements.
