The Sims 1 and 2 Return to PC at Last Today via The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle
Celebrate 25 Years of The Sims with Legacy Collections!
EA and Maxis are commemorating The Sims' 25th anniversary with a fantastic gift: The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 are back on PC! Available now are The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection, individually or bundled together for $40 in The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle.
Both collections boast nearly all expansion and stuff packs. The Sims 2: Legacy Collection notably omits the 2008 IKEA Home Stuff pack, but otherwise offers complete content. Bonus additions include the Throwback Fit Kit for The Sims 1 and the Grunge Revival Kit for The Sims 2.
This marks the first time in over a decade that both original Sims titles have been readily accessible digitally. The Sims 1, initially a disc-only release, was previously unavailable without a physical copy. The Sims 2's Ultimate Collection, available on Origin in 2014, was later removed. These new collections ensure all four main Sims games are easily obtainable via digital platforms.
Originally reviewed with scores of 9.5/10 (The Sims 1) and 8.5/10 (The Sims 2), these classics retain their charm, offering a simpler, yet challenging gameplay experience. Their quirky nature and historical significance make them worthwhile additions to any Sims fan's library.
The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection are available now on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app.
