Safari Ball Returns to Pokémon GO

The highly anticipated Pokémon GO Wild Area event is almost here, and the star of the show is undoubtedly the Safari Ball – the game's seventh Poké Ball! This article delves into the details of this exciting event and its unique new addition.

What's the Pokémon GO Safari Ball?

Long-time Pokémon fans will recognize Safari Zones from the main series games. These special areas allowed for the capture of rare Pokémon without battling – a feature Niantic is replicating with the Wild Area event.

Pokémon GO hasn't seen many new Poké Ball types over the years. Regularly used balls include the standard Poké Ball, Great Ball, and Ultra Ball. Premier Balls also exist, along with the elusive Master Ball.

The Wild Area event runs globally from November 23rd to November 24th, 2024, concluding at 6:15 pm local time. Crucially, any unused Safari Balls will vanish from your inventory after the event ends.

During the event, the Safari Ball will be the key to catching powerful Pokémon. Niantic's decision to introduce this ball in a new event, rather than the usual Safari Zone or City Safari events, adds an element of intrigue.
