Star Wars Tactical Game from Respawn, Bit Reactor Revealed

Respawn Entertainment, in partnership with Bit Reactor—a studio founded by former XCOM developers—will officially reveal their new Star Wars tactical strategy game on April 19, 2025. The announcement will be made at the Star Wars Celebration event in Japan, offering fans an exciting first look at this highly anticipated project.

The game was first confirmed in 2022, but updates have been limited since. Recent sources indicate the title is being built with Unreal Engine 5 and will incorporate turn-based combat, providing a rich tactical experience set in the iconic Star Wars galaxy.

Despite substantial layoffs at EA earlier this year, developers assured the community in March 2024 that the project remains on track and continues as planned. The upcoming reveal will likely share key details about the game, along with a possible trailer to highlight its gameplay and art direction.

Per the official event schedule, the presentation will include a developer panel with Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment, and Lucasfilm Games. Set for 4:30 PM–5:30 PM local time on the Galaxy Stage, the session offers an exclusive preview of this turn-based tactical adventure.
