NieR: Automata's opening introduces 2B's mission, granting access to a one-handed and a powerful two-handed sword, the Virtuous Treaty, after initial combat. This weapon is temporarily lost after the prologue but easily reacquired.

Where To Find the Virtuous Treaty in NieR: Automata

This early-game weapon is located near your starting point after exiting the bunker. In the city ruins, descend to the lower area. To the left, locate the highway above the nearest access point. Climb the ruins to reach the highway and follow it back towards the factory.

Descend to the factory area and follow the grassy path to the main structure. An access point with stairs leading upwards is on the left. At the top, locate the destroyed bridge (where you fought the Goliath). The Virtuous Treaty is embedded in the ground near the bridge's edge.

Your discarded prologue equipment, including consumables, is also nearby to the right of the sword.

Typical of two-handed weapons, the Virtuous Treaty excels at wide, high-damage attacks, albeit with slower speed.
