Ubisoft has announced Siege X, a substantial enhancement to Rainbow Six Siege. It's been clarified that this isn't a full sequel, but it's far more than a simple update. Siege X's relationship to Rainbow Six Siege is likely comparable to Counter-Strike 2's relationship to Global Offensive: a massive upgrade that feels like a new game, while preserving all player progress and data.

Further details will be revealed during a special three-hour presentation on March 13th, featuring a live audience in Atlanta. To commemorate Rainbow Six Siege's ten-year anniversary, Ubisoft has also released a commemorative pack offering players the chance to acquire legendary skins from the game's earliest seasons – a comprehensive collection of classic cosmetics.
