Pokemon GO Adding Galar Pokemon in Upcoming Event

The Steely Resolve event in Pokémon GO, running from January 21st to 26th, marks the highly anticipated debut of the Corviknight evolutionary line: Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight. This addition expands the game's Galar region Pokémon roster.

The arrival was subtly teased in December 2024's Dual Destiny Season loading screen, featuring Rookidee and Corviknight before their official announcement.

The Steely Resolve event offers a wealth of activities:

• New Pokémon: Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight make their in-game debut.
• Special Research: A new Dual Destiny Special Research storyline with exclusive rewards.
• Field Research: New tasks rewarding encounters and items.
• Shiny Pokémon: Increased chances to encounter shiny versions of several Pokémon, including Clefairy, Paldean Wooper, and Mareanie.
• Bonuses: Magnetic Lure Modules attract Pokémon like Onix, Beldum, and Rookidee. Charged TMs can remove Frustration from Shadow Pokémon. Increased spawns of Clefairy, Paldean Wooper, Carbink, and others.
• Raids: One-star, five-star (featuring Deoxys and Dialga), and Mega Raids (Mega Gallade and Mega Medicham) offer diverse raid encounters.
• Eggs: 2km Eggs have a chance to hatch Shieldon, Carbink, Mareanie, and Rookidee.
• Featured Attacks: Evolving specific Pokémon during the event grants them powerful exclusive moves (e.g., Corviknight learning Iron Head).
• GO Battle Week: Running concurrently, GO Battle Week offers increased Stardust rewards, expanded daily battle limits, and Grimsley-inspired avatar rewards.

Beyond the Corviknight line, the event features increased wild spawns of various Pokémon, including several shiny possibilities. The event also coincides with GO Battle Week, offering significant bonuses for PvP battles. This packed event continues Pokémon GO's strong start to the year, following recent Shadow Raids and Dynamax Raids.
