How To Catch Kubfu in Pokémon GO

The "Might and Mastery" event in Pokémon GO introduces the Wushu Pokémon, Kubfu. Many players have eagerly awaited Kubfu and its evolution, Urshifu, since their Pokémon Sword and Shield DLC debut. Now's your chance! Complete a few tasks to add Kubfu to your team.

To catch Kubfu, navigate to the Special Research tab and find the "Might and Mastery" section. Here are the tasks:

Completing these quests unlocks Kubfu and awards 891 XP. Remember, this Special Research ends June 3, 2025, at 9:59 AM local time.

Can You Catch More Than One Kubfu in Pokémon GO?

Want more than one Kubfu? The paid "Fuzzy Fighter" Special Research pass ($8) offers additional tasks and a chance to catch a second Kubfu. The pass includes:

• One Incense
• Two Premium Battle Passes
• One Star Piece
• Encounters with Season-themed Pokémon
• A rare Dynamax Kubfu encounter

This pass is available until March 10, 2025, at 10 AM local time. Note that the tasks remain accessible after purchase.

Can You Evolve Kubfu in Pokémon GO?

While Kubfu is undeniably cute, competitive players will want to know about its evolution into Urshifu. Currently, evolution isn't possible, but future updates may change this, especially considering Kubfu's evolution is featured in the event's loading screen.
