Path of Exile 2's bustling trade chat frequently features high demand for White Stellar Amulets, often fetching 10 to 15 Exalted Orbs. Many players are unsure why these amulets command such a premium. The answer lies in their potential for significant profit or powerful build integration. Let's explore the reasons behind their value.
Why are White Stellar Amulets So Valuable in Path of Exile 2?
Unmodified White (normal rarity) Stellar Amulets, possessing only the inherent "+# to All Attributes," are key ingredients in crafting the highly sought-after
Astramentis Stellar Amulet. This transformation is achieved using an
Orb of Chance.
Astramentis' exceptional power stems from its substantial attribute boost (+80-120 to All Attributes). This synergizes exceptionally well with the Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps, another top-tier Unique item, enhancing attack speed and lightning damage based on Intelligence and Dexterity.
Crucially, only White Stellar Amulets can yield Astramentis. Blue (Magic) or Yellow (Rare) amulets are unsuitable. This exclusivity drives the high value of Normal Stellar Amulets compared to their enhanced counterparts.
Sell or Gamble: The White Stellar Amulet Dilemma
The odds of successfully crafting Astramentis with an Orb of Chance are extremely low. Even using numerous amulets (e.g., 100) doesn't guarantee success. While luck could favor you, it's a considerable risk.
The choice between selling your White Stellar Amulets (earning 10-30 Exalted Orbs depending on market conditions) or gambling on Astramentis is a personal one. It’s a high-stakes gamble, and the decision rests solely with the player.
Using Orbs of Chance for Astramentis in PoE 2
To attempt the transformation, place the White Stellar Amulet in your inventory, right-click the Orb of Chance, and left-click the amulet. Possible outcomes include:
- Amulet destruction.
- Upgrade to a unique sharing the same base. Two possibilities exist:
Astramentis (the highly desirable outcome)
Fixation of Yix (a less valuable alternative)
The more common Fixation of Yix is the more likely result if the Orb of Chance doesn't destroy the amulet. The risk of complete loss is substantial.
