Monster Hunter Wilds: Capcom's Fastest-Selling Game

Monster Hunter Wilds is Capcom's Fastest Selling Game, Moving 8 Million Copies in 3 Days

Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has officially claimed the title of Capcom's fastest-selling game, surpassing 8 million units sold within three days of its launch. Capcom proudly announced this milestone on their website, highlighting the game's unprecedented success.

This achievement follows earlier reports from SteamDB, showing MH Wilds boasting over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam alone, despite mixed initial reviews. Capcom attributes this remarkable success to a comprehensive marketing strategy, including extensive promotion across various platforms, participation in major gaming events, and a well-received open beta test that allowed players to experience the game firsthand.

Latest Update Addresses Game-Breaking Bugs

MH Wilds recently released hotfix patch Ver.1.000.04.00 across all platforms (March 4, 2025), addressing several game-breaking issues. Monster Hunter Status, the official support account on Twitter (X), announced the patch.

This update resolved critical bugs, including the inability to unlock the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features (despite fulfilling the requirements), inaccessibility of the Monster Field Guide, and most importantly, a game-breaking bug preventing story progression in Chapter 5-2 ("A World Turned Upside Down"). Players are required to install this update to continue playing online.

However, some bugs remain, such as a network error triggered by SOS flares after quest initiation, and issues with Palico blunt weapon attacks not inflicting stun and exhaust damage. These primarily multiplayer-related bugs are slated for resolution in future patches.
