Surprisingly, some players remain unaware of the shield's existence. Its late introduction to Minecraft means many played without this crucial defensive tool. Crafting a shield, however, is straightforward, requiring minimal resources.

You'll need six wooden planks (easily crafted from logs) and one iron ingot (obtained by mining iron ore and smelting it in a furnace). Arrange the planks in a "Y" shape in your crafting grid, placing the iron ingot in the top-center slot.
