Netflix Unveils Devil May Cry Anime Opening Trailer, Featuring Limp Bizkit

Netflix recently dropped the opening trailer for its upcoming Devil May Cry anime adaptation, shortly after announcing its April 3, 2025 premiere date. The trailer, set to Limp Bizkit's iconic "Rollin'," showcases dynamic action sequences featuring a young Dante, Lady, and the enigmatic White Rabbit, packed with nods to the game series.

Showrunner Adi Shankar elaborated on his vision for the anime's future. The series is set in the late 90s/early 2000s, and Shankar believes the Limp Bizkit-fueled soundtrack perfectly captures the era's essence. He hinted at further period-specific music, including a synthwave remix of the game's soundtrack by Power Glove.

Shankar also teased stylistic and musical variations across future seasons, highlighting the diverse nature of the Devil May Cry games and implicitly confirming the anime's planned continuation beyond a single season.

Specific plot details remain under wraps. However, the first season, comprising eight episodes, is anticipated to draw inspiration from the Code 1: Dante manga (based on Devil May Cry 3), focusing on a young Dante's investigation into a child's disappearance. This investigation will inevitably confront him with his past, family, and the legacy of his demonic father, Sparda.
