Godzilla's rampage shifts from Tokyo to the United States in IDW Publishing and Toho's new series, Godzilla vs. America. Following the Chicago installment, the series continues with Godzilla vs. Los Angeles #1, a four-story anthology depicting Godzilla's attack on the City of Angels.

The creative team boasts renowned artists including Gabriel Hardman, J. Gonzo, Dave Baker, and Nicole Goux. Their collaborative effort brings a unique perspective to Godzilla's destruction of iconic L.A. landmarks.

Acknowledging the sensitive timing given recent devastating wildfires in the Los Angeles area, IDW has pledged to donate all proceeds from Godzilla vs. Los Angeles #1 to the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (Binc), supporting bookstores and comic shops impacted by the fires. The publisher released a statement emphasizing their commitment to community support and clarifying that the comic's themes, while coincidentally mirroring current events, are intended to explore broader concepts of resilience in the face of adversity. The statement also highlights the comic's creation began well before the recent wildfires.

Associate editor Nicolas Niño shared his enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing the collaboration with talented Los Angeles-based artists and the spirit of community resilience depicted in the stories. The comic features Godzilla battling unique L.A. themed threats, showcasing the city's spirit.

Godzilla vs. Los Angeles #1 will be released April 30, 2025, with final orders due March 24. For further updates on upcoming comic releases, explore previews of Marvel and DC's 2025 offerings.
