The incident occurred following his scheduled appearance at a National Alzheimer's Foundation benefit event in Atlanta on January 22nd. His absence triggered an emergency response, with hotel security discovering him unconscious and paramedics struggling to detect a pulse.

The GoFundMe campaign, initially aiming for $50,000, has already surpassed its goal significantly, exceeding $144,791 in donations from over 2,200 supporters. Beyond his extensive video game voice acting career with Bethesda, Johnson is also a long-standing public address announcer for the Washington Capitals hockey team and has a diverse background in film and television.
