A recent leak suggests Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 will include a free 4-star character selector, potentially as part of a limited-time event. This selector would allow players to choose one of four characters: Qingque, Pela, Serval, or Asta.

This news comes as Honkai: Star Rail's 3.0 update approaches, introducing new gameplay elements and characters. The game currently boasts 23 4-star characters, with varying degrees of meta relevance. While some, like Moze and Gallagher, have gained popularity, many 4-stars require significant Eidolon investment to reach their full potential. Past updates (Versions 2.1 and 2.7) offered free character selectors, facilitating Eidolon acquisition. The Version 3.1 leak suggests a similar event.

Leakers, including HomDGCat, have reported this upcoming selector, featuring Qingque, Pela, Serval, and Asta – all released during the game's initial 1.0 cycle. Asta is even provided early in the game. This leak aligns with earlier rumors suggesting an upcoming focus on 5-star characters, potentially indicating a slowdown in 4-star unit releases.
