Hollow Knight Silksong creators troll the community with a “delicious teaser”

Hollow Knight Silksong's release has been a long and winding road, much to the amusement (and occasional frustration) of fans. After missing its anticipated 2024 launch, anticipation for a 2025 release is at fever pitch. Recently, Team Cherry, the developers, stirred the pot once more with a cryptic image.

The image, a simple picture of a single cake, sent fans into a frenzy. Speculation ran rampant, with some believing it hinted at an elaborate ARG (Alternate Reality Game).

This excitement was quickly tempered, however, as Team Cherry clarified that the cake photo was not, in fact, part of an ARG.

Despite the official explanation, the theory persists among some dedicated fans, who believe Team Cherry is still planning a major reveal, perhaps a full game presentation, possibly in April. Meanwhile, the development of Hollow Knight Silksong continues, and the official release date remains shrouded in mystery.
