Hit Roguelike Deckbuilder Pirates Outlaws Gets Sequel

Fabled Game Studio's highly anticipated sequel, Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, is set to launch in 2025 across Android, iOS, Steam, and Epic Games. Building upon the success of its 2019 predecessor, this roguelike deck-builder promises enhanced features and a thrilling new adventure.

An open beta test is currently underway on Steam (October 25th-31st), with mobile releases to follow. Before embarking on this seafaring journey, let's explore the exciting changes awaiting players.

What's New in Pirates Outlaws 2?

Pirates Outlaws 2 introduces a fresh protagonist with a backstory unfolding years after the original game. This new hero begins with pre-built decks and unique abilities. But the enhancements don't stop there.

The game introduces companions, each contributing their own specialized cards. A new card fusion mechanic allows players to combine three identical cards into a more powerful variant.

Deck progression is streamlined with an evolution tree, offering customizable upgrades. Even previously discarded cards can be improved! The acquisition of relics has been revamped; they're now found in markets, after boss battles, or during special events.

Battles incorporate a new Countdown system, impacting enemy actions. The "End Turn" button is replaced by a "ReDraw" mechanic. A new armor and shield system adds another layer of strategic depth.
