Helldivers 2 Unveils Major Update: 01.000.403 Now Live

Arrowhead Game Studios has released Helldivers 2 patch 01.000.403, primarily addressing a critical crash bug linked to the FAF-14 Spear weapon. This update also includes a comprehensive suite of bug fixes designed to enhance overall gameplay stability and user experience.

Helldivers 2, a 2024 cooperative third-person shooter, has consistently received positive feedback for its intense and chaotic gameplay. Arrowhead's commitment to regular updates demonstrates their dedication to refining the game based on player feedback and addressing technical issues. Previous updates tackled Spear targeting problems, but inadvertently introduced a new crash. Patch 01.000.403 rectifies this, alongside another crash related to unique hellpod launch cutscenes. A notable addition is the global rollout of Japanese voice-overs for both PS5 and PC platforms.

This patch also resolves various smaller issues, including text corruption affecting Traditional Chinese characters, ensuring accurate display. Fixes have been implemented for the Plasma Punisher's functionality with specific shield generator packs, and the Quasar cannon's heat management now accurately reflects planetary conditions. Visual glitches such as the purple Spore Spewer and pink question marks have been eliminated. Furthermore, a problem causing a reset of available Operations after reconnection has been solved.

While significant progress has been made, some known issues persist and are under active development. These include problems with in-game friend requests, Medal and Super Credit payout delays, invisible mines, inconsistent Arc weapon behavior, and inaccurate weapon crosshair alignment. Additionally, the mission count in the Career tab resets after each game restart, and some weapon descriptions remain outdated.

Patch 01.000.403 is now available, incorporating the aforementioned fixes. Arrowhead Game Studios continues to actively monitor player feedback and work towards resolving outstanding issues to ensure a continuously improving gaming experience. A detailed breakdown of changes is available in the official patch notes.
