In a recent interview with GTAVIoclock, former Rockstar Games developer Ben Hinchliffe shared his perspective on the upcoming GTA 6. Hinchliffe, a veteran who contributed to several Rockstar titles including GTA 6, GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, and L.A. Noire, provided a glimpse into the game's development.Hinchliffe expressed his excitement about GTA 6's evolution, highlighting the significant advancements in content and storyline. He emphasized the substantial changes and improvements made since he departed the company, expressing confidence in the final product.
Rockstar's official GTA 6 trailer showcased the new protagonists, the Vice City setting, and hints of the crime-filled adventure to come. Scheduled for a Fall 2025 release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, details have been scarce. However, Hinchliffe confirmed that GTA 6 represents a significant leap forward for Rockstar, setting a new benchmark for the series.
He noted the consistent evolution of realism in Rockstar's games, stating that GTA 6 continues this trend, with more realistic character behavior and interactions. "I think [Rockstar Games] has raised the bar again just like they always do," he commented.
Since Hinchliffe's departure three years ago, GTA 6 has likely undergone extensive refinement and optimization. He suggests that Rockstar is currently focused on bug fixing and polishing the game.
