Gothic 1 Remake Demo Now on Steam

To celebrate the release of the Gothic 1 Remake demo, "Nyras Prologue," THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled a new trailer. Unlike the original Gothic, where you played as the Nameless Hero, this demo lets you experience the game as Nyras, a prisoner fighting for survival in the same brutal world.

Released during the Steam Next Fest, the Gothic Remake demo shattered concurrent player records for the entire series:

The demo showcases the remake's stunning visuals, enhanced animations, and the powerful Unreal Engine 5-powered combat system. While the prologue doesn't fully represent the expansive gameplay and deep RPG mechanics of the complete game, it offers a compelling taste of what's to come.

Gothic Remake is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and GOG). A release date is yet to be announced.
