More gameplay and release date of DOOM: The Dark Ages is finally revealed

Bethesda and id Software showcased a new DOOM: The Dark Ages demo during the Xbox showcase, confirming earlier leaks of a May 15th release date.

Transporting players to a medieval setting, The Dark Ages promises a distinct gameplay experience from its predecessors. Players will embody a powerful, tank-like combatant, a far cry from the frenetic, parkour-heavy style of DOOM: Eternal. Expect grounded combat utilizing a robust arsenal to obliterate demons.

Core weaponry includes a shield and mace, offering a more tactical approach. A standout feature is the inclusion of a giant mech suit for battling smaller demons, and even the opportunity to ride a dragon during the campaign.

The game boasts a flexible difficulty system, allowing players to customize the challenge by adjusting enemy damage and other parameters.
