Fortnite Unveils Anime Collab

Fortnite Rumored to Crossover with Popular Anime Kaiju No. 8

Recent leaks suggest a potential crossover between the immensely popular battle royale game, Fortnite, and the hit anime series, Kaiju No. 8. Given Kaiju No. 8's current global popularity, such a collaboration would be a logical move by Epic Games. Adding to the excitement, rumors also point towards a possible Demon Slayer crossover in the near future.

The buzz began with a prominent Fortnite leaker, HYPEX, hinting at the Kaiju No. 8 collaboration. This follows the recent addition of Godzilla to Fortnite's Chapter 6 Season 1 battle pass (available until January 17th). Godzilla's cosmetics are exclusive to the battle pass and won't be available in the Item Shop.

This news arrives on the heels of Fortnite's Winterfest event conclusion and the release of its first major 2025 update. This update introduced new cosmetics, gameplay changes (like using Fortnite Festival instruments as back blings and pickaxes), and a local co-op mode for Fortnite Festival. These additions have fueled speculation surrounding future content and crossovers.

HYPEX's leak centers on the storyline of Kaiju No. 8, which follows Kafka Hibino's transformation into a kaiju after encountering a parasitic creature. His subsequent involvement with a monster-eliminating organization forms the core of the manga-turned-anime series (with a second season slated for 2025). A successful crossover would place Kaiju No. 8 alongside other popular anime franchises already featured in Fortnite, such as Dragon Ball Z.

More Than Just Kaiju No. 8?

Beyond Kaiju No. 8, multiple sources suggest a Demon Slayer crossover is also in the works. While details remain scarce, many anticipate new cosmetics in the Item Shop, and some even hope for map representation from both anime series.

Further fueling the anticipation, leaks indicate the potential arrival of more MonsterVerse characters to join Godzilla, including King Kong and Mechagodzilla. With this influx of rumored content, the Fortnite community eagerly awaits Epic Games' announcements for the remainder of 2025.
