A new evil ending has been revealed in Baldur's Gate

Baldur's Gate 3's hidden depths continue to unveil themselves. Larian Studios' RPG is brimming with secrets, many unearthed by dedicated dataminers.
One such discovery, a previously found evil ending, has resurfaced during testing of the game's eighth major patch. This ending allows the player character to forcibly remove and destroy the illithid parasite without harm. A subsequent choice presents itself: depart with companions, or leave them behind.
The community speculates that this ending will be fully integrated with the release of patch eight.
Recent layoffs at BioWare, the studio behind Dragon Age: The Veilguard, have fueled industry conversations about job security. In contrast, Larian Studios' publishing director, Michael Daus, remains active on social media, addressing these concerns. Daus emphasizes the importance of valuing employees and suggests that leadership should absorb the brunt of financial difficulties rather than resorting to widespread layoffs between or after project completion. He stresses the critical role of retaining institutional knowledge for future endeavors.
