Get the Engine Blade in NieR: Automata
Quick Links
NieR: Automata offers a diverse arsenal, from quirky choices like the Iron Pipe to powerful options such as the Type-40 Blade. Many weapons are unique to the game, but one holds a special appeal for Square Enix fans: Noctis's Engine Blade from Final Fantasy XV. This guide details its location and key stats, accessible during your first playthrough.
Where To Find The Engine Blade in NieR: Automata
The Engine Blade awaits within the factory, but not during the game's opening. You'll need to progress as 2B and revisit this area. Chapter Select (Chapter 9) provides a shortcut. Begin at the Factory: Hanger access point.
Exiting the access point, veer right, following the path into a 2D perspective segment. Navigate past a fenced area, ascend broken stairs, and board a conveyor belt with crates. The next belt features deadly presses; carefully avoid them. Jump to the subsequent cylinder, where spider-like enemies await.
Enter the door on the left, climbing more stairs while dodging exploding enemies. A railing ends mid-way, leading to a platform extending towards the camera. This triggers another 2D platforming section, requiring precise jumps across presses to the left. The final room contains three chests; the Engine Blade is in the leftmost chest.
Caution: Exploding enemies will descend from the ceiling as you approach.
Engine Blade Stats in NieR: Automata
- Attack Power: 160-200
- Combo: Light 5, Heavy 3
This weapon allows four upgrades, culminating in a 7-hit light combo (requires finding Masamune). Unlike the Iron Pipe, its damage output is more consistent, offering greater predictability.
