A new Digimon game, Digimon Story: Time Stranger, appears to have leaked via GameStop ahead of tonight's PlayStation State of Play presentation. Gematsu discovered and shared pre-order listings for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, though the GameStop pages lack images or gameplay details.

This leak comes hours before Sony's State of Play, a 40-minute presentation with unannounced content. Given the timing and the Digimon Story: Time Stranger pre-orders, a reveal during the show seems likely.

The Digimon Story series, originating with the Nintendo DS title in the mid-2000s, has seen numerous installments across various platforms. Recent entries include Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth (2015), Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (2017), and their 2019 Complete Edition. These RPGs typically involve befriending and battling Digimon.

While franchise producer Kazumashu Habu teased a new Story game in 2022, a new installment has been absent for years. Games like Digimon Survive offered a temporary fix, but Digimon Story: Time Stranger may finally deliver a true sequel if officially announced soon.
